  • Everyone who is a partner claimant under IR ESA has to attend one of these now and again. They cannot make you work at all. They simply want to know about you and your circumstances, which in your case is that you care FT for your OH. We're in same situation except he is not my paid carer as I do not get MRC just LRC DLA. His interview took 10 minutes in total and 5 of those was finding me a chair! They may ask you to come back in a year they may not. You just go on the date they give you and it will quickly get sorted out.
    OH did not sign anything BTW. You can if you wish also tell them of your health problems too.
