    Hi there.

    A word about 'soft searches'. They are not always that accurate.

    I believe they use Call Credit to search your files. Call Credit have been down grading credit scores since 2008! For example: On Experian and Equifax l score over 900 out of 1000. On Call Credit it is only 565!

    I did a soft search in April for a RBS card. the search said l had a 1/10 chance of being accepted, so l didn't apply. Two weeks later l applied and got the card.

    Call Credit are being overly cautious. So don't just accept their verdict. Check with Experian and Equifax to get an overall picture of your status.
