Whirlpool AWZ7913 Cold air :(

So it looks like my tumble drier has packed in. It only blows cold air no matter what settin i have it on.
I made sure the lint part was clean, the bottle that collects the water was empty and the filter underneath was cleaned.
Still blowing cold air. I had a chap round to look at it, didnt do anything other than say your heating element is away.
Looked online and whirlpool wanted over £80 for it. Found one compatable on Amazon for £30. Anything else i can do before buying it?
