New 0% Credit Card - High Credit Limit

Im looking for some advice on Credit Card limits.

I hear of friends having high limits, £20,000, £30,000 and the like, and always wonder how this comes about.

Personally the highest ive been given is £6000.

Im lucky and have a very good income, few debts, am a home owner (mortgagee) and never had any bad debts.

Im looking to buy a car and rather than spend savings im wondering how I could apply for a 0% CC with enough limit to hopefully buy a car then clear the debt after a year / 15 months?

Does anyone have any experience or advice which companies or how I might go about getting a card with a high limit?

Thank you.

High limits were common back in the olden days. We all used to get 20-30k at the drop of a hat. But things have tightened up since.

MBNA tend to give higher limits than the average.
