cheap energy club question - new home owner
Options
i have just bought a house and used this service which suggested one of the npower deals as best for my area and circumstances. it has came to our attention however that the supplier to the home is already npower and we have had a letter saying we are on the standard rate.
so my question is, does the switchig service work if you are switching tarrifs with the same provider or not?
cheers

When you bought your house, you should have contacted the existing supplier and provided meter readings to allow them to set up a new account for you.
They usually discuss various tariff options then, or you can request a specific one ... as you can do any time in the future.
They'll usually change the tariff whilst you are on the phone to them.0 -
thanks for that reply
my question was mainly to see if the cheap energy club works on same supplier or not as i have filled in the details through the links.
if this method does not work i will need to deal with npower directly as i have an account number with them now from a letter i recieved.
the cheap energy club email says my supplier will contact me in a couple of weeks, so should i wait or deal with it now?0 -

- that word "standard" is an industry euphemism for the most expensive they can put you on
- that's what they rely on, before you realise, a year at those prices have passed - don't ask - don't get !
- you would not want a 'standard expensive' offer from any supplier, but the cheapest offer for your needs
- you might want to get a new much 'improved' tariff offer from nPower before you commit to change provider
- "the home is already npower", - you are already on a deemed contract with nPower
- when you get their new improved offer, then use the comparison sites to seek a better option
Direct debit - an e-account and you supply regular readings is going to be your best bet at a good tariffDisclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. Hi ljaac,
If you are just switching tariff and would like to stay with npower, you'll be able to do this on the phone to us (0800 073 3000 or 0330 100 3000 from a mobile).
You say you have an account number so if you use that and we can set up a new account for you and pop you on the best tariff.
Best wishes,
