How much commission is paid to Energy Brokers?

Why would an energy broker undertake the work, if not for a payment or commission? They're not charities. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Does anyone know how much commission is paid to Energy Brokers and if customers are not told about this commission payment before switching supplier do you think there a case for claiming this commission back????
Such information would be considered commercially sensitive, and may vary from broker to broker and from supplier to supplier.
Hoever, you can probably glean the approximate, average amount by referring to the amount of cashback offered by the various comparison and cashback sites.
You cannot claim the commission back (unless agreed in advance such as from a cashback site)0 -
As above, look to the various sites that do offer cashback to get a clue. However, its likely they secure more in certain circumstances. For example Top Cashback and Quidco probably get commission over and above what they pay you, when they hit targets. This is what they make their money from, and encourages them to push a particular deal in their newsletters.0
