How do I complain about HP?

I have a real problem with HP. Bought an all in one scanner/printer 3 years ago and it has had consistent niggles and now just won't talk to my MAC. I've been through the website trouble shooting, uninstalled, re-installed (several times) left messages on website, left complaints on website (no contact returned from HP!). Today I rang the support number and was told I'd have to pay to speak to someone and that I couldn't speak to anyone to complain!!!!!
I'm at my wits end. Surely a product that receives light use should perform consistently and last a reasonable amount of time??!!!
I should at least be able to speak to someone??!!!!
Please help!!!!
I just cant afford to spend more money! Ironically I need to print out forms for a child care grant so I can go back to Uni!

Why? Assuming that HP claim that the printer is compatible with the version of Mac OS the op has then how would it be Apples problem? If HP don't list compatibility then it's the op's fault for not checking.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
3 years for a printer, sounds about rightMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

If you want to complain 'officially' then put it in writing. Phoning, emailing or messaging will get you nowhere. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Who did you buy the printer from? Your legal rights are against the retailer, not the manufacturer.
Once the manufacturer's warranty has expired, they have no responsibility to you for any problems you have (unless the printer has actually injured you).If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Have you actually checked the printer using a different MAC?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
