Hi all
I am hoping for some advice.
We have had 3 agents to our house to value ..
The 1st was Halifax who put a value of £82,950
2nd Reids Reins who valued at £79,950
And today had Larrads who will not give us the price yet because it will be an assised buy through persimmon ..
We have ruled out the halifax because we went into there shop the other day and no-one even came over to us to ask if we needed help we had to que for over 10 mins ( not impressed they were staff stood talking ) also a neighbour has had there house on the market for around 2 months with no viewings.
We are swaying more towards reids as we do know they are selling good in the area. one of our neighbours have had an offer after being on the market for 2 weeks .. we dont know if this has been excepted but at least we know they are getting people through the door.
Larrads dont seem to have any propertys on the market in our area so we dont feel confident selling through them..
The thing we have a problem with now is that if we go to reids and ask them to put the house on the market before we wait for larrads to come back with a price will this make us look bad with persimmon because we didnt give them a chance.
The house we want to buy is going to be ready around august so we do want to try and sell ours asap.
Has anyone had any experiences with any of these agents ..or have any advice on what to do
Many thanks
Clare

I've no experience of the agents you mention as I live in London , but I'd say to go with the agent you feel most comfortable with & who you believe can achieve a quick sale for you.
Good luck. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Hi Clare - don't forget, you're the customer here ! You can approach Larrads and ask them when you can expect a valuation. If they cannot give a timescale, tell them that you need to move quickly and therefore - with regret- are going to Reids. I bet that wakes them up ! If not, go to Reids, but don't feel you have to accept their valuation if you think your house could fetch more. Tell them what Hailfax said, and ask them to put it on first at 82 - you can always lower it later if you want. Good LuckAll Art is the transfiguration of the commonplace
