Would the land registry own website be first to publish the sold prices?

  • We completed on a house sale at the end of January and the results took a couple of months to appear on the website.

The time lag is around 3 months. As the LR is the source, I'd imagine they are quickest, but probably not by very much, as other sites must constantly update to be any use.

Don't expect every property sold to be listed, because some aren't. There's a list of exclusions on the LR site.

Davesnave is quite right although it can vary considerably depending on speed of lodgement of the sale details with us, the timing of when the register is updated and how quickly the third party websites then upload the data

Lodgement of the application to register the sale can happen anywhere between a few days to several weeks.

The data is then captured before being released by us around the 20th/21st of the month.

Third party websites will then also vary as to how quickly they update the data. You would need to check with each site to see whether they relied solely on our data or not
