WIN XP - SP2 - USB Problem

I have Windows XP with SP2 installed , i get an intermitent baloon message telling me that USB device is not recognised - But no USB devices are plugged in ?? :j
Looking in device manager - when this happen - the page seems to refresh itsself - Any help appeciated !!!! :j

erm you may not have installed the drivers for the usb controllers themselves? not sure if you can get the drivers if a manual windows update is done or whether you have a cd with them on....
i may be mistaken tho??0 -

unistall service pack 2 then reinstall it0
