Pictures to disc with music?

My brother died suddenly aged 34 a number of weeks ago and I have scanned every picture of him we have onto the pc.

What i want to do is make a slide show of all the pictures from baby to most recently but i would like to put music to the slide show and put on to disc so my parents can view it on their DVD player.

I have tried to do this some time a go with windows movie maker but could n't copy it to disc.

Does any one have any advice on software etc (preferably not to expensive) that would enable me to do this?

I've used the following (DVD PixPlay) to create picture slideshows on DVDs :

There is an official site for the program but the above appears to have other DVD related programs too which may be useful...

You can specify a music track to play in the background and it is simple to use. There may be better out there but this is the only one I've used...

Or if you have nero you could use that...

I have used it a few time and it is simple and easy to use

Sorry to hear about your brother.

I would second nero, I did exactly what you are wanting to do for a friend last year. I used my lightscribe drive to put a picture on the front of the disk.
