    Hi Emz,

Great news on the win. It kinda contradicts what I'm about to say, but here goes

I've been comping now for about 6 weeks now. I've dedicated many hours per week day to it, entering at least 100 a day. I use LastPass to fill in the forms (I've found it better than roboform) and I've won....some cereal bars.

I really wish I'd dedicated that time to something else. I'm still continuing mostly because I want to do enough research to write a blog post.
    I like to make money

Aw, sorry you haven't won much :(. It can get disheartening when you're not winning, but you might be getting some prizes sent straight to you as we speak. I really hope you are.

Up to 40 now. If I can do 20 an hour from now until 6pm, then I'll get to 100 before I leave my mum's.

    Going to try my best.

Emma, this is how I felt with competitions so I gave up too. Plus staring at a screen for hours for no income/reward was depressing. Now I enter the odd few and have had more wins since then than ever before!

Em, keep going but I would say do comps after you have earned an income :D

Thanks Pap - I might enter the odd comp every so often. The ones on Twitter literally take seconds, so I'll probably do loads of them.

Time to go home now, and I've done......82 questions. Not bad. I don't mind spending a bit of time tonight getting those last 18 done.

    Be back later.

    Thanks Chrysalis.

Questions all done. I've also got 87 Nectar points from Adpoints.

I've just seen another spider. It was a biggin and was running across the living room floor. It must be because it's hot again. Horrible things.

    Night everyone

    Hello :)

So, the lovely Buffy recommended this book on her diary:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AVLVUJS/ref=oh_d__o01_details_o01__i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I downloaded it on my Kindle app last night and read it before I went to sleep. It was very interesting. It basically tells you to pick a goal and keep a diary about it for the next 30 days, or however long it takes to complete it.

It tells you to write everything in this diary, like how you plan on achieving the goal, any problems you come across and ways of overcoming them, to-do lists for the day etc etc.

So I went and got a little notebook today and will use that for my goal diary. I have set myself quite a goal:
Clear my debt by 25th April 2016

That is the date of my 35th birthday and what a great birthday present it would be to pay off my last debt on 24th April 2016 (or even earlier if I can manage it).

To do this, I would have just over 2.5 years to clear my debts (problem number one - not enough time). I would have to clear just over £1,300 a month (problem number two - too much money a month).

    Ways to overcome those problems?
    1. Earn as much money as I can a month so I can afford to make bigger payments
    2. Offer full and final settlements on my debts so it reduces the amount
Those are my thoughts so far anyway. I will keep writing in my little book and try to formulate a plan to achieve this goal.

    Hey everyone

Been a bit of a 'housey' day today. We went to Ikea and got seat cushions for our dining room chairs (£30 for 6, much cheaper than the £48 for 6 ones I really wanted) and we also got a bathroom cabinet from eBay for £10 (needs a bit of a clean, which I will do later).

There are some other things I want, but I've just joined Freecycle/Freegle again in the hope that I will find some suitable stuff on there. I really want a new bin, but I'm going to try and clean up the one that was already here first to see if I can make do with that.

I've also come to the conclusion that I really don't like the dishwasher. It just doesn't get things as clean as I would expect. OH can use it if he wants, but I'm going back to the good old washing up bowl. Speaking of which, our sink doesn't have a plug (it's one of those weird suction ones), so I need to use a bowl. The one that was left here leaves a lot to be desired, so I'm going to see if I can clean that up, along with the drainer, before buying new stuff.

    Be back later
