removing sticky labels from glass

We've just purchased a new tv stand which is black glass and Argos have been very helpful and stuck large stickers all over the glass telling us its glass.
Any ideas how to remove them without ruining it? Someone at work suggested baby oil, where I had thought something like nail varnish remover might do it. Any advice much appreciated.

Another vote for WD40. I would use a cotton wool pad and hold it on the sticker(s), then rub.
And the TV should not only be OFF but also unplugged. WD40 is flammable.
DEFINITELY NOT NAIL POLISH REMOVER - if there is acetone in it it WILL attack the plastic (or any plastic coating, given it's the stand and not the TV). I would never use that.
Baby oil would work but you might need to 'scratch' the sticker surface first, for the oil to get to the adhesive. You might then scratch your TV stand.
Whatever you do try it would be a good idea to try a little in an inconspicuous area first, to check that the chemical isn't attacking the plastic/glass/whatever (durr me)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
