Additional card with same card number

Hi guys,
Does anyone have any experience with how good fraud systems are when an authorised user has the same card number as you and you are abroad and they are not or vice versa for example?
Does that not throw up problems as it could look like someone has travelled around the world in 10 minutes. Will that not cause an issue or are fraud systems clever enough to notice the different discretionary data and PAN seq chip number? In this case the card provider I'm referring to is Capital One.

I would ring them and say one of the cards will be in a different country for a set period of time.
But then I do that with my cards when I travel abroad anyway.0 -

Oh I normally do, When I last went to tell them though they said they don't record that information anymore.0 -
I thought card providers had got rid of both cards having the same number. As it was a real pain in the butt having to stop both cards. Instead of just the one with fraud on it.
Even telling your card provider is not going to stop a cross border case.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
