OVO Offered Fixed Price for Renewal of Green Energy Plan But Now Will Not Honour!

Please help...

I had an email from OVO Energy offering a Green Energy Plan contract renewal price for electricity of £0.1189 per unit but when I called to renew they said it was a mistake and actual rate is £0.1368 per unit.

If they put the offer in writing do they have to honour it?

Presumably you are in the South East supply region?

If so, 13.68p per kWh is the correct rate (excluding VAT)

If no contract was formed, then they do not need to honour a price they now admit they gave in error

11.89p per kWh is the price (excluding VAT) of their New Energy tariff for your region. You should be able to take this option which is also a 12 month fixed deal

Correct. An offer is just that-it does not constitute a contract until both parties accept it.

I would look at switching to another provider; if they are so inefficient as to offer you a totally incorrect tariff price why trust them with your continued business? It's not like they are incredibly cheap anymore anyway.
