Car insurance hike
I was told recently that if you check car insurance prices more than once insurance companies "remember" (cookies or . . . . ?) and hike the price so you never get a lower quote.
the person who told me reckoned that if you cleared caches, browsing history etc you could start from new.
So I was interested to find out if anyone else has heard this
Is it true (I tried doing the above and my insurance quote has now gone up from approx £300 to nearly £800)?
And, if it is, isn't this close to mis-selling?
Thanks in advance

Sounds like a load of b***s.
If you get a cheap quote then buy it or save it for later.0 -
