Any ideas where I can get a cheap Range cooker?

We're having our kitchen done soon and as a large family I think it would be wise to invest in a decent range cooker. But I'm on a serious budget!! I'm looking to pay around £500 (Don't laugh!). I live in the Wigan area. Any ideas?

Can you get over to Colwyn Bay in a Van?

I have just seen one today a Flavel Aspen dul fule in grey , looks brand new ( all the stickers on it for £399. They also said they have black.

Shop is called Bargain wise in Abergele road Colwyn bay. Looks like 2nd hand shop, but believe me, it is brand new.

Was shocked when I saw it in the window.

The range cookers we saw recently in Currys were as cheap if not cheaper than the usual stand alones of the same make.
I think they are called stand alones, 4 burners anyway compared to the double large oven 6 burner range cookers.
£500ish would get you a nice one.
I don't think the 'Stoves' range cooketrs are much more than £500.

Just google and you'll see loads.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

    Look on Ebay.

Consider good condition second hand if your budget is limited.

Remember that you will need to arrange collection or delivery.

Or Preloved - two years ago we had to let the buyers of our last house have our beloved Rangemaster Élan (£2000 approx) due to an error on the part of our EA. We looked on both eBay and Preloved for a replacement and found the same model on the latter site for £350 :D Although I agree, when it's a private seller collection can be a PITA.......

Thanks so much for all your replies. Sorry to only repspond now, I've had a crazy weekend! What a shame I dont live nearer to colwyn bay! That sounded like a good deal! I've been keeping an eye on ebay listings, I think thats probably the only way I'll end up being able to afford one. Kitchen not being fitted for a few weeks yet so I'll have to keep my eyes peeled!
    Cheers guys!
