PayPal dispute-what is the deadline

Hi all

I recently opened a PayPal dispute (discussed in another thread) after a bit of a stupid quick decision.

Anyway,I originally opened a dispute on 15/07/13 as I had not received my order and no communication from the company.

However, I received the item a few days later, nothing like described, so I changed my dispute to "not as described" on the 21/07/13.

I am still "awaiting other party's response". But when you hover over that status, it says "the seller has 10 days to respond or PayPal will close the dispute and return funds to rightful owner".

My question is, when does their 10 day deadline start from? Would it be from when I first opened my dispute for item not received, or from when I changed my dispute to item not as described?

Yes, there is more Paypal expertise over there.

I just think (but might be wrong) changing a claim from one thing to another seems to cause confusion at PayPal, but the guys on the EBay forum will be better placed to keep you right.
