Hello,
I wonder if you could please advise - I took out a loan a number of years ago for my business (sole trader) I was told by Natwest that in order to get the loan it was a condition to take out life insurance - at the time I had more than adequate life insurance but felt pressured into taking out the life insurance or of course there was no loan.
Is this a case of being mis-sold a product?

No. Lenders are allowed to insist on insurance as a condition of borrowing. You dont see it much nowadays in the personal sector but its still very common in the business sector.
