Ring ING

I had a flyer last week from ING . My husband didn't even though he has accounts there as well. They are offering a reward interest rate for any money deposited in the savings account ( not Web Saver) before the 15th of June. This amount is an extra 0.86% above the 5% and it runs until September. I know this is only a little bit of help but you may not have got the flyer.
MORE IMPORTANTLY I used the phone call this morning when I was enquiring as to whether I could shift my stash from the Web Saver into the Ordinary account and get the added interest ( Answer No ) to have a moan about ING especially its sneaky drop in interest rate just before the last rate rise.
To be fair the operator knew exactly where I was coming from and asked for my customer number so that she could lodge my complaint.
Well how about we all ring on mass and complain about the interest rate from ING threatening to withdraw our moneyand maybe it would shame them into matching the higher interest rates around. It might at least make us feel better!
I know I could vote with my feet and leave them. But I would lose the daily interest rate whilst I undetook all the change.
I find the organisation, security and facility for named multi accounts and their keypad security very good.
So will you ring?

I do agree about the fact that people withdrawing money would have a greater impact but surely every little helps and they should know we are at least noy happy!! YES i probably should move my money0

No I think not. I already filled in a web survey the last time I logged in to remove my money to a better bank. Told them what I thought of them on that. I now have an account with zero balance so don't care. I did have a laugh at the letter though and at the thought its costing them to send it out to people with zero balances"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I think the fact that their savers have extracted 3 billion ponds worth of savings from them in the last few months might give them an inkling that some are dissatisfied!

Yes I understand this and have the same view, you want to move and get better interest and punish them but it's hassle moving and interest is lost while doing so, there is no point "cutting your nose off to spite your face". I am moving my cash over a bit at a time about 75% of it is now in Icesave's vaults!:j :j :j0 -

I had one of these to fill in too, I found it very satisfying being able to tell them just what I thought of their view on how us customers preferred a stable rate to an increasing one!:D0
