You had savings that wuld cover, it, a good sick pay from your employer, another income. And/or a pre-exisiting illness, onerous terms for the self-employed.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Thanks Taff! The Co-op refused the savings reason as they said we might not have had enough to cover the loan, we both would have had sick pay from our employers but it may have only been for between 6-12 months though but there was my income that may have covered the monthly repayment. Great advice from Dunstonh, but he seemed to think the pre-existing ailments of mild asthma and depression three years before could be 'iffy' to get a good result from.
Keep it coming though folks - any help appreciated!0 -
he's right, they are, because PPI doesn't cover depression, and asthma would have to be completely debilitating as already mentioned.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Glad I didn't give up on the case - just had a settlement offer for both loans - one from 1987 and one from 1990. I would urge all to 'give it a go' - you will never get if you don't ask and persevere.0
