Adding a new user to credit card

Hi, sorry I did search but the answer to my question didn't come up, so sorry it's probably been asked a hundred times before!
I want to add my partner (husband in 3 weeks) as a user on my credit card, he has awful credit though and mine is very good, would it affect my credit rating like it does on a bank current account?
We have separate bank accounts but his is redundant really as all wages goes into mine now.
Thank you for any advice given and sorry once again as my searching skills are obviously rubbish, I sure this is a common question
