Britannia Parking at Poole Quayside - Urgent

I parked at Poole Quayside back in the early part of July, between the hours of around 8.00pm and 10.15pm as I was taking a customer out for dinner in Poole.
Just under two weeks later I received a PCN stating that I failed to purchase a valid ticket, with a supporting image of my vehicle entering and leaving the car park.
I knew I had purchased a ticket, but as they had written to my employer who were the RK of the vehicle, I sent then a letter confirming under Protection of Freedom 2012 that I was the driver of the vehicle, and provided them with home address.
I told them that I had no intention of paying this fake PCN and that I would not enter into any further correspondence with Britannia until such time that this was cancelled or they provided a POPLA code.
Yesterday I had a letter stating that the mitigating circumstances provided, meant that this was now cancelled.
I thought I would call them at their head office in Bournemouth today and challenge them on what these circumstances were.
"We have had ongoing problems with the ANPR equipment at this site" was the reply. I asked for how long ? How many people had wrongly been sent PCN's ? How many had paid when frightened by the tone of their threatening notices ? How many if any, refunds have they given.
A serious issue in my opinion, should I take this up with the BPA ? What do the regulars on here think ?
Anyone who has received one on this or any site with Britannia Parking should be challenging this I think !!!!!!

Absolutely you should take this up with the BPA, also with the DVLA, but most importantly with Trading Standards. Contact the local press too, you want everyone who might've been scammed to hear about it.Je suis Charlie.0

What do people think about this, does it warrant a call to the BPA0

Nothing warrants a phone call to the stupid BPA Ltd. Life is too short!
But a phone call is not what bazster meant!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thought I would bump this ....... As a certain director of Britannia Parking has complained to MSE about untruths in this thread
He will be getting a call next week0 -
Right who said he had a brain cell?It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

Britannia are a source of amusement to me as they seem to issue fake PCNs on windscreens but with no follow-up letters at all in some West Sussex car parks! I am still waiting for those letters and really want to take them to POPLA 'Parking-Prankster style' but they continue to disappoint!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So if ANPR can be so unreliable should this now not form a standard appeal point for POPLA in any case where it has been used? In the same way that pre estimate of loss and no authority in landowner contract. I know maintainance schedules of ANPR equipment have been mentioned before but evidence like this fron the OP must surely get this appeal point in the top three?0

They have no written evidence though, just a phone call.
Britannia will just deny they ever said such a thing...0 -

Ah Britannia the company which thinks 3 signs (not counting the sign half eaten by a hedge or the sign which is angled to catch drivers coming from the loading bay area) in a medium/large sized carpark is good enough to enter into an agreement.0
