Is it physically possible to have Sky Broadbandvia phone line AND Virgin Broadband Fiber optic Broadband at the same time, but obviously only have one or the other connected and set up on my pc at a time? Why, you ask? Please read on...

I am with Virgin Broadband Fiber optic. Sky are offering a 1 year free broadband which is NOT fiber optic, so it is a phone line. I want Sky braodband installed and use it to see if i like it or not: BUT at the SAME TIME keep my Virgin broadband (just unpluG it from my pc while trying Sky). Then if I do not like the Sky Broadband I can disconnect it and reconnect Virgin and continue to use that ? I would not cancel the Sky Broadband as I am not paying for it and thus not have to pay a disconnection fee?
If I DO find the Sky connection satisfactory then I cancel Virgin and save myself a lot of money.
Hope that makes sense.
Many thanks for any help. Please ask if more information is needed or any advice to offer.

you can have them both - sky might offer you free broadband but they might charge you a line rental.
you could also have them both set up with wireless networks with different names and you can switch between the two whenever you like

You'll definitely have to take Sky Line Rental at £14,50 a month, unless you can negotiate a reduction.

Also it might be worth checking that you can cancel after, or during, the 12 months free or whether you're tied into a contract for 12 months once the free offer ends.

On a similar(?) topic anybody know if there's any off-the-shelf kit which will concentrate 2 DSL (ADSLmax) lines? IE a modem/router with 2 modem channels... (is this "bonded DSL"?)
