Barcelona hotel ideas

Could anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel in Barcelona? I’m plan on spending 3 nights in the city in August and have never visited there before. I’ve been reading some of the Tripadvisor forums but there’s just so much information out there.

Hotel Azul, very, very near to Placa Espanya
have just stayed here for 3 nights, highly, highly recommend this hotel, reviews on T/A very, very good as well
Hotel is very well located for transport links, including airport bus, local bus/metro and a number of local tourist attractions0 -
Hotel Cristal Palace is also worth a look. Located within 5 minutes walk of the top of Las Ramblas. Surprisingly for this area of Barcelona it is on a quiet street.0

We stayed in the H10 Itaca, very close to the station, metro lines & bus routes.. highly recommended!0

Catalonia Portal de L'Angel is located in a pedestrian street yards away from the Plaza de Catalunya where the airport buses go from and near all the main sights. We booked it through Booking.com and were very pleased with the price and historic street and building which it occupies.0

Stayed at Barcelona 4 Hotel - OK for 1 night at a push. Good prices but overall generally very poor. We will never return.0

The B hotel orrrrr the Onyx Leceau0

Have a look at the airbnb website. It involves staying in people's homes and usually they are very good hosts who can tell you all the ins and outs of the place you are visiting.

I was going to suggest the Jazz, which is a sister hotel of the B. The group that owns both of these has some nice boutique style hotels, across different price ranges. I think the cheapest is the hotel ParaLel.
Have heard good things about the H10 too (as mentioned above). Not stayed there though. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Thanks for all those ideas, I really appreciate it.
I’ll take a look at them today and hopefully get something booked.0 -
We looked at H10 but went to Barcelona Princess instead. Its a bit out the way but it was lovely. 26 floors (we were on 23rd) with beautiful view of the city. There is a mall literally 500 feet away with Primark, Starbucks, McDonalds etc if you want to quickly grab something. Also ice cream parlours etc, plenty there. There is a tram/metro line literally right outside, we went last August and you paid 2 euros to get on and you just get off at any point on the line. Easy to hop on and off for things like the zoo.
It is a bit out of the way *but* you can hop on the tram metro thing and we much prefer to be out of the way.0
