Sony Experia J - Memory full ?

I have a Sony experia J phone but when I try and download an app I keep getting the message that there is not enought space on it. I have installed a 32gb card and cleared out as much photos, music etc as I can.

Is there any way to give more memory space for Apps ?

The default location for apps is the the phones internal memory, which can be quite limited.

Some, but not all, apps can be moved from the phone memory across to your 32gb card which will free up some space.

To do this you have to check each app to see if there is an option to move to sd card.

Click on Settings and scroll down to Apps. Select each app in turn and you will get a screen showing features such as Force Stop, Uninstall etc. On the lower right there is an option to Move to SD Card.

If this option is greyed out then you can't move it. If the words are in bold type then you can.

Another option is to uninstall any apps that you don't use.Some preinstalled ones can't easily be removed but you can at least remove the updates which can help a bit - just be aware that you may be prompted to update these in the future which would put you back to square one if you do update.
