Advice Please on application for 0% Transfer Card!

in Credit cards
I would like to apply for 0% Transfer Balance Credit Card/s to help with clearing £6K debt I've got on 4 different credit cards where the interest is nearly as much as the minimum monthly payment, hence, I'm getting nowhere reducing the balances. The debt originated when I had Chronic Fatigue a few years back, couldn't work and had to put bills on the cards to survive (I also owe £6 in the family). I'm 67 years old and receive a pension (approx. £10K per annum) and I work part time as a secretary (approx. £8K per annum). I looked at Martin's Eligibility Checker for the Halifax card to do a 'soft' credit search and see that I run into a problem when completing the question on Annual Income, I can only select one employment status from the drop-down options, which would be either 'part time' or 'retired'. Completing the annual income for either of the options isn't actually confirming that my annual income is £18K!! I don't know how to get around this problem and get my application for 0% Transfer Card considered by any provider and this is the only way I can see of getting help in paying off the debt. I'm a homeowner, I don't have a mortgage now, that was paid last year, I always pay the credit cards by monthly direct debit and haven't defaulted on payments.at any time. I haven't checked my credit rating with any of the credit agencies, I'm assuming it must be okay but with all the advice that Martin gives, I don't want to risk getting refused on any application and then get a black mark on my credit rating.
I'd be very grateful if anyone's got any advice on this, it would be really great to be debt free as it's such a drain on my resources and totally restricts my life. If I could get the cards paid off then all available funds would pay off the family debt. Thank you very much for your help.
