Guildance on managing employee

Due process consists of no more than paying any holiday and notice due. An employer does not have to give any reason at all for letting someone go after such a short term.Always always always an employee is entitled to due process, whether they have been there 5 minutes or lasted until lunchtime
It never is as simple as deciding they are lying or doing it wrong. They need to be confronted and given the opportunity to explain (they could actually be telling the truth or have been misled by a savvy employee who feels threatened) and an opportunity to demonstrate they have learned.
I would agree with having them on a short lead after that if they are very new. but if you don't engage with them you might miss some truth about your own business.0 -
'Due process' means at least giving them a fair trial before you shoot themDue process consists of no more than paying any holiday and notice due. Yes it does. What you are talking about is not giving due process in the first 2 years.Funky_Bold_Ribena wrote: »No...within the first 2 years; it really doesn't.You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -

Since an army of no win no fee lawyers set up shop in this country and EU employment laws were forced on us.
I wonder which EU employment law prohibits making comments on an Internet forum to the effect that an employer who sacks someone without due process just because he legally can is a bad or lazy one?!0
