half price listing on ebay this weekend !!!!

just read the announcements and it is half price listing in certain cetogires this weekend 9th - 10th june and free gallery !!!!

see below

When you list any item in the ‘Home & Garden and ‘Clothes & Shoes, Accessories’ categories during our half – price weekend you’ll pay a half price Insertion Fee AND be able to use the Gallery Listing Upgrade Feature for free for each item you list to help you attract buyers.
It’s a great time to have a clear out and start selling. What have you got in your home that people might want to buy? Established sellers can take advantage of the reduced listing fees and list more.

(terms and conditions apply, see below)

hope this helps
the more people i meet!! the more i like my dog !!;)

Back in the day you could list stuff on Belgium ebay for free, and it still came up on a uk search.

Still back in the day people would bid on anything and whatever I listed seemed to sell...

You could list something unrelated in the sections outlined in the advert, and as long as people searched for your item name it would come up. That way you could get the fees reduced, but it would look odd listing say, a Thundercats toy in the Home and Garden section, but it would still display in searches for Thundercats etc...

I've tried that, the wrong category doesn't affect the look as much as the wrong 'item specifics', if it wasn't for the item specifics i would do as you suggest, I've tried it many times in the past but the item specifics ruins everything.

This is much more useful to me than the recent cheap listing days, I shall have to stock up on tat for the weekend, lol.

I'm off on hols from Tuesday so my 300+ Shop listings are being suspended for two weeks.

Good job if we will have a whole weekends worth of tat being listed!!!

I think it's fair to say that these events do nothing to improve the selling experience, simply suppressing prices for an already over-saturated market.

A nice change of tact would be to offer sellers a reduced FVF's for listings offering free postage.
