New boiler for DLA Claimant

My wife has been awarded Highest rate in care allowance and lowest rate on mobility allowance for DLA due to her debilitating and severe cancer that has left her almost bed ridden due to the severity of the symptoms and now effects on the intense chemotherapy regime she is undergoing.
Our gas central heating boiler is over 25 years old and past its useful life. Is it possible to approach any company for them to replace it considering that we are in receipt of the DLA payments.
If it is possible please could you point us in the right direction.
Thanks

Sadly DLA is not one of the benefits that qualifies you for a free boiler grant. However she might qualify if she gets any other income related benefit - see link: http://www.boilergrants.co.uk/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_campaign=boilergrants&aaci=537&aacri=ad1.2~search&gclid=CMnatMyPybgCFdMQtAodhgQA7Q0

Hi, good luck with your claim. It can take quite a long time for these claims to be approved, they carry out surveys and check eligibility etc. so if you think you may be eligible don't delay if you want a new boiler before winter sets in.
