Sky Card Problem.

Hi everyone!
I am having a bit of an issue with my Sky card - at least I think it is the card as I am not very technical!
It says - "There is a problem with your viewing card. Ensure your Sky viewing card is correctly inserted. Call the broadcaster for assistance."
Not on every channel though - I can watch BBC 1 and 2 but Sky1, Living, etc show this message. As do all the recorded programmes on my Sky box.
I am on a multi room box if that makes a difference and it isn't connected to a phone line. The main Sky box isn't either as we don't watch the movies or interactive stuff.
I couldn't remember my pin (it was the last numbers of my card but I got a new card a couple of years ago and stupidly didn't write down the number) so went on the internet and signed up to MySky to reset it. Since then I have had this issue with the viewing card and not being able to watch anything that I have recorded.
After a really bad day this is just about tipping me over the edge!

Is it fixable? Please help.

Make sure the card is pushed fully in the slot. Take the card out, give it a wipe and put it back in. If it still says the same you will have to phone Sky.0

Do you pay a subscription for the second box, if not then all you will receive are the freesat from Sky Channels.
As above if its a multiroom set up box boxes must be connected to the phone line. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
The PIN should be the last 4 numbers of whatever card is in, did you try that?
BBC channels will work whether there's a card there or not, the card decrypts encrypted channels and the BBC ones aren't encrypted.0
