Wellllll successful Susie at last :D. I printed it out a different way Bubbs. I went to Tesco armed with my print offs about the coupon taking ready to do battle lol and never needed it . It s much nicer shopping at night. Nice girl on the self scanners. I got 12 in total as the offer finishes tonight.

It doesn t say in them they can be frozen so I m not sure. Managed to fit all in my fridge for now. I m sure my family will help me with them though.

Got 3 packs of different filled doughnuts for 3p per pack and two posh loaves 10p instead of £2 each. So worth going.

    Well done :T

Always amazed how diverse a group and just wondered if anyone is from, knows, or visited Dumfries and just exactly how do they expect visitors to park? It looked lovely but after finally getting a space it was in a 'disc zone'. What a carry on and I am left wondering if they intentionally want no visitors or just fail to realise how silly an idea it is. You can get a disk for free from shops but if your a visitor you need to park to get one and you can't park without one. Oh and the disk info is on the council website but not on the sign telling you its a disk zone, yet to find any parking that was not a disk zone or resident parking permit area. Would be interested to know if anyone else has visited and found the same or anyone who knows it well.

Still a bit gutted I never got to look around, more so because it really looked a nice place

Nope. Proper police officer. He was looking through the windows. I don't get why there was no answer from inside. Clearly someone is inside as the lights are on....

Hmm. I have the window open, if there is any more updates I'll be informing you lot and my family lol

He looked like a police officer but I bet he had fishnets on under his uniform:eek:

It's nice to be back. And post while I can :) I learnt everything from this site and the elite thread. I can never, not come back. Was so friendly and kinda of a home (during my first year at uni which was tough on me, but this site helped an awful lot :):money:

Well there were five of us girls and five of the local lads (including the Mayors son - fortunately as it happened cos it was the Mayor that sprung us from the nick). It was in the distant past when there were currency restrictions ( a V something allowance?) when you went abroad. A lot of sterling suddenly appeared in the area and the local police thought we might be invloved - some touch guys came down from Lisbon and tried to arrest us late one evening when we were sitting on the beach with several flagons of the local brew (dare I say we were fairly well p***** ?). They charged us en masse and we did as our wise old Mums told us - when chased by evil looking spooks, Run for your lives ! Being rugby tackled in the surf by a 15 stone barrel of lard is no picknick.

They confiscated our passports and locked us up. In the early hours the local Mayor came looking for his son - and was kind enough to get us all out. We were told that it would be better if we went somehere else for our next holiday. I didn't go back to Portugal until last year (two name changes/marriages later).

Still the Army Captain was lovely (with or without his uniform).

Stuff dreams are made of. :D

Thanks for sharing that, tbw. Lovely fun memories. Curious how many of us have read that and remembered an experience/s from their 'misspent' youth.
