Thanks Savvy - I'd forgotten Sainsburys was BRAND match - yeah it says it in the name. I'm dumb this evening.
Savvy I was lol a couple of nights back when you were going on about peoples shopping from their wombled receipts and watching their items at the till. I get SO tempted sometimes to tell them they are WAY overspending. I see people will bills over £100 and I think OMG that would last us a month and I'd have WAY MORE than you have. I must admit sometimes I look at some of the prices they pay for some items and my jaw drops - are they crazy?
I think if I won the lottery I'd still be the same, although I must admit that when I was single & had a high powered job I often ate ready meals from Marks - but then I was so shattered at the end of the day that I deserved a treat & I could well afford it. I now go in Marks & think 'Is that all you get for that horrendous price?' I could make it for a quarter the price.0 -

On the last thread somebody mentioned Ovivo which is worth investigating and could be very very cheap indeed.

Been away on an amazing holiday. California. Started at Los Angeles, travelled up the coast to San Francisco then down through Yosemite national park and Death Valley to Vegas. Managed to include a helicopter ride within the Grand Canyon. Now at LV airport awaiting our flight home.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Here's the link to the tariff. It's called PAYG Essentials. 8p per min, 4p per text, 25p per day internet (up to 25 Mb fair use per day ) Giffgaff's "cheaper" but you have to spend a minimum every month which doesn't look like it would suit you or, deffo, me.

Giff gaff does have PAYG - hubby has giff-gaff PAYG. They offer internet 20MB for 20p a day - have no idea how long that lets you browse? I'd actually be looking for a phone that lets you use giff-gaff sim in it (02 but can you put card in straight away?) as calls to other giff-gaff phones are free for 3 months after topping up - it's normally calls home is all I use phone for. I thought Wi-fi was free if you're in a free hotspot - like Tescos/Asda - if they all have it, which they were saying a while back they were going to do.
Guess I need to do some research. I know hubbys phone you can get on the internet with but I don't think apps can be downloaded onto it - it's about 3 yrs old. Mine is a brick - I've actually got no idea where mine is, probably in glove box in car uncharged. That's how much I use it! lol0 -
OMG - I just looked at the Ovivo info & that would suit me down to the ground. £15 for a sim & then nothing - for however long they keep going! WOW! How did I miss this?
