For the leek-eaters among you, did you know that if you trim the bottom 2cm off your leek when you prepare it, and plant this little end stump, root end down, top just peeping out, water well, you will grow a new leek. Leave it to grow, and you will have a whole clump. I now routinely do this and have a continuous supply of 'cut and come again' leeks. Easy to do and worth a try if you have a few patches of soil free. Mine are growing in between my tomato plants, and are thriving!
The same thing works with spring onionsWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Good morning again
Just got back from the hospital with DS2, he had his 6 monthly visit to the paediatrician. The doc was running late (6 minutes to be exact) and boy did he get it from DS2
along with a lecture about managing his time efficiently
:o:rotfl::rotfl: Just as well he's been seeing him for a few years and knows what to expect
Im just waiting for the lazy people to get out of bed and then Im going shopping0 -

FC I love hearing stories about you DS
He reminds me of how my Son can be sometimes (we finally have a face to face CAMHS meeting scheduled for him in September :j only taken us 8 years :rotfl: )
We went on holiday last year and when we got home we realised we'd left behind the kids DS games. Rang the hotel and nothing, so I wrote them off as lost.
Holiday again this year (same hotel) and DS wouldn't sleep until he'd asked the staff if the games were in lost property (this is a year after we lost them) and when he was told they weren't there he wanted to go check the room we'd stayed in last year because he was sure he knew where they'd be :rotfl: (they wouldn't let him check). He's still sure he knows where they are, bless himHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Aww bless himWe have had some sessions with CHAMS a while back and have an open self referral if we need it. I found them excellent. We had 2 child psychologists (1 trainee). 1 used to take DS2 off to a different room and they worked on visual ways for him to express how he was feeling, something we still use alot. The other lady sat with me and pretty much talked about how I was feeling, as it was quite soon after diagnosis. I hope you also get what you need from it.
