What changes will universal credit bring this October?

As everyone knows the unemployment numbers are fudged. Unemployment is growing if you include all the self employed who get working tax credits but make a loss year upon year.

What changes will universal credit bring this October? If they are not making min wage per hour they will be added to the unemployment numbers. That is what is proposed at the moment, starting in October. If there are no changes or its not postponed yet again, in October the unemployment numbers are going to shoot up!
The GFC used to stand for global financial crisis. Now it stands for the global financial catastrophe.

My guess the unemployed figures will be about the same after October as they are now.

Number of people in employment however is increasing. So a few green shoots of recovery.

How much tax credits does a self employed person get?

Say if they were selling £10 of rubbish a week on ebay, how much more would they get in tax credits?

Most self employed say they are working 30hrs to get the max amount. There are millions who are not on JSA but instead just say they are working 30hrs and getting about the same as JSA but its called working tax credit. Then they dont have to sign on every 2 weeks.

In October they will either have to earn min wage for 30hrs or be included in the JSA numbers.

How many people are doing that? Have you got any stats to back up the claim that "millions" of people are claiming WTC whilst self employed?

And I suppose you know this, in the same way as you know that there are millions of empty properties in the UK, even though you claim that there isn't a way of finding out how many empty properties there are.

We will see after October as long as they do not postpone again.

It's being introduced gradually starting in October and ending by 2017, so I don't suppose anything will change very suddenly.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
