Genuine company or not ?

Hello, first of all I hope I'm posting this in the correct place if not I'm sorry. I have just returned from a holiday to discover that my elderly parents let a door sales man into there home, in short he told then they are entitled to free Eco saving scheme for there home and would be entitled to a free boiler, now I'm not saying there bogus but it sounds a bit to good to be true, but it doesn't end there, my dad who has never done this in his life let the man in to see the boiler he showed him a letter to prove pension credit and also signed a paper allowing them to check what they can get. To be honest I'm worried sick now and it's so out of character for my dad to do this. The company are called J & J Crump and son LTD. I have googled and visited there website and they look genuine but that means nothing. Is there any where I can check to see if the company is genuine or not. I would really appreciate any help as I'm getting a bit worried now.

There are a lot of grants out there right now offering free boilers, there are also a lot of companies that are signed up to carry out the work, the company knows that not many people know that they could be entitled to a new boiler free and they get paid for each one they install so they go looking for suitable customers themselves.

I know the Devon office was doing the free insulation for British Gas last year. My friend had it put in her loft for nothing.

Yup, its a genuine company with nothing improper about it. Lots of companies involved in the Green Deal.
