Furniture Delay

Hi everyone
I have never posted here before so please be gentle
I ordered a TV cabinet from a local shop about 6 weeks ago, I had already ordered over £1,000 of furniture from them and decided to go for the matching TV cabinet as they were offering a good price.
They gave me the impression that it would be delivered along with the rest of my furniture I had already ordered. Well I have the rest of my furniture but not the TV cabinet. I have paid in full £269,00 and they keep putting me off and telling me dates when it is coming and then when that date comes they give me another date. It's driving me crazy.
I have complained to the shop and told them I am fed up and want a refund. They are refusing saying "It's one of those things".
Am I being unreasonable here ?
Please help, I'm on my own and feel like they are taking advantage of a disabled woman on her own !
Many thanks

Unless the contract states specifically when the delivery will be, then yes you are being unreasonable.
You will need to write to them stating explicitly that time is of the essence, and if they do not deliver at an agreed date the contract will be terminated and you will expect a full refund.
Have a look at this CAB page:
