Drill won't go into reverse!

Our Mac Allister drill won't go into reverse - the button doesn't click into place, it gets stuck 1/2 way - does anyone know how to free/unstick it, by any chance???

If you are able to obtain a service manual or open it up and look at the switch, you may be able to free it up or otherwise replace the switch.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

More likely a gearbox issue than a switch issue. Next time buy a better quality drill than a B&Q special - sorry but it had to be said.
