Tax credits requesting receipts?

I don't get receipts from my childminder, and at first I was paying in cash until I sorted an SO out. When TC's checked me, I wrote a letter for my childminder in a word doc, which stated all the dates and times my little one was there, and amounts paid. I emailed this to her and she printed it off on her letter headed paper and signed it. To be fair, my costs are very straightforward - the same times every day, for every week, but it still saved my childminder having to type it all up.
TC's were fine with this, so could be worth you trying something similar? A bit of a faff I know, but better than owing loads of money!0 -
I'm not here to help but when I saw the title of you thread I thought it read tax credits requesting recipes

Very short moment where I imagined them deducting £s if you use margarine instead of butter...
Apologies for the random interruption.Bossymoo

Any school would be expected to provide receipts for any funds received, especially when paid cash.
This is true - both the one I work at and the one the kids go to routinely provide receipts for all monies they receive; the receipt specifies date, amount and purpose.
(And for safety I have ALWAYS sent ALL payments into school by cheque; then if the cheque is lost it's no use to anyone else - on the back of the cheque I outline what the payment is for and include child's name and form).Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

i was asked for all my receipts, i have never received receipts.
I sent copies of all my bills and bank statements highlighting all my payments for the year.
Compliance accepted this and even accepted the ones i paid by cheque as i highlighted this.
This was enough evidence to finalise my claim. they adjusted my award as it was over estimated and i now have an overpayment which im paying back over 12 months.
for what evidence you can provide they will be happy with, so send what you can - what you cant provide they will make you pay back.0
