Help with fraud/chargeback

Last week I ordered something from drun.co.uk. Having not received any confirmation, I've thinking it might be a scam website. Its only a couple of months old, its says it has a huge trustpilot review score but doesn't if you look it up. Its registered in the USA but might also be a chinese website.

The item was £50 ish and was purchased on a halifax mastercard credit card. What's my next step. Do I have to wait so long for the item to not arrive? Then is is a chargeback?

Lets see, the site doesnt comply with UK law, its policies start talking about DRun Inc and then inexplicably switch to calling themselves TNF Inc

TNF Inc is North Face who obviously only sell their own branded items not Nike.

Site is registered as being in California but there is no DRun Inc in Cali. Its contact us is for a site registered in Florida but there is no DRun Inc there either. I havent checked all the states but the ones I have none have a DRun Inc

The site says its been running since 2004 but was only registered 3 months ago.

The payment gateway is for a chinese company that doesnt actually have a website and searching online shows many complaints of fraud from it. When I actually tried to get through to see the payment page the site crashes so couldnt see how bad that is.

Everything says that the site has issues and thus you'll almost certainly have equal issues with the order.

Personally I would be speaking to my bank for advice but they may well want you to attempt to cancel the order with the merchant first

thankyou. There isn't an option to cancel and the moneys been taken

Feel a right mug. Glad I use separate passwords for everything though. I'll give the bank a ring then cheers

You have to wait 15 days from date it debited your account before a chargeback can be actioned.

Not sure if you will have to provide paperwork as its MasterCard.

Just give Halifax a ring and ask for the disputes team.

Then pray it does not turn up :D
