Moving on after IVA

We enterered into IVA 2 years ago but after 9 months my husband was made redundant. So we settled the IVA.
It has now been a year since it was settled but we have been told by 2 IFA's that we will definitely not get a mortgage and probably won't be accepted for rental properties.
Our current mortgage deal has just run out and they have put us on Variable Rate which has doubled the monthly mortgage costs. We were struggling as it is so will need to sell.
But without being able to get a mortgage again I am very worried my family (me, husband and two children) will literally be homeless. Am worried sick.
Anyone got any advice. Thank you.

Have you spoken to whole of market mortgage brokers?

Were the IFA's you contacted actually deal in the whole of market or just assuming you wont get a mortgage?

How much equity do you have in your property at the moment?
"Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!
