HSBC 'free' Travel Ins.

Someone I know says that she and her husband get free travel ins. because they bank with HSBC. I picked up a brochure from the bank and sure enough the account that one pays for includes 'free' travel insurance.
However, she is 63 has had cancer (albeit a long time ago), loads of other things wrong with her currently. The husband is similar age, has had a stroke (limited mobility), epilepsy, and other things. She says the HSBC knows this and still covers them fully. I find this hard to believe as I take 'Which' magazine and have read of the problems people can have finding travel insurance with health problems. So, I guess my question is - can this be true?

This may actually be the case, but if they have doubts then they should really contact the ins dept. and double check that there havent been any changes regarding pre existing medical conditions.
This would also be depending on the terms and conditions of the underwriters and their stipulations.. you can be surprised what bank insurance covers....0
