This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Morning everyone
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Bright and sunny here this morning. We had really heavy showers yesterday morning on and off until nearly lunchtime then it turned into another lovely hot afternoon. Started raining during the evening but didn't last long.
DH up and off to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was sausages, mash, veg and onion gravy, ice creams for dessert. Tonight we will be having smoked sausage pasta with mushrooms and creme fraiche sauce.
Work was very quiet to begin with yesterday - due to the heavy rain but then became steady as people dodged the rain showers. Will see what today brings. Only working until lunchtime today then have my normal list of chores to do.
Have a good day - remember the suncream if you're out in the sun!
Keep safe and well x

Morning everyone :j
It's going to be a very warm day here again. We didn't get a single drop of the promised rain yesterday, it just stayed uncomfortably humid.
Hubby has gone off to work this morning full of the joys of Spring which is lovely and all the girls are still fast asleep. I've fed the animals and cleaned out the litter tray so now I'm planning a nice mug of tea and some toast. I just couldn't function without my tea, it's the only thing that keeps me going some days.
Well, the girls are in for a surprise when they eventually surface as we are going to blitz this house and then hopefully we will be able to keep on top of things during the holidays. I think they thought they were going to be playing on the computer or ipods (insert evil chuckle here!).
Not sure what we are going to have for tea, will check my freezer list in a bit and see what we have. I have a big list on the computer which shows me what I have and which freezer it's in. This has saved me literally hours of time in planning meals.
Anyway, hope everyone has an enjoyable day and as always gentle hugs for those who would like one.
Cheers m'dears x0 -
Good morning everyone
this is the first day of my early retirement so I thought I'd stop skimming and start talking.
This morning I'm ironing as I haven't for too long. I don't want to take up naturism and we've too many clothes that don't look right crumple - sigh. So a nice dinosaur film and steam in all directions - the faster the dinosaurs run, the faster I iron.
Maybe it will finally rain here, it's been promised for two days but didn't turn up. At least it is less muggy.
Have fun xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

Molly, Hilstep Hugs.
Judi how are you?
JackieO Have fun with the grandchildren.
Well, I broke up yesterday on the wettest day of the year! There were torrential thunderstorms from 9 pm Monday till teatime yesterday.
I got caught out in the one on Monday night and by the time I had walked the quarter of a mile home i was soaked tot the skin and quite scared due to the vertical lightning landing all around me!!!
Today I will start to tidy my tip of a house and I am meeting up with a friend for coffee.
DD1's friend who has just lost her mum was round here yesterday, she is putting a very brave face on for the world, my heart goes out to her.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Morning All
Camelot enjoy your holiday
Welcome Luxor
Dry here so far today, though the forecast is for more rain, but I have taken a risk and put some towels on the line.
I have to pop down to pick up a prescription and some more dressings for my toes today so I am going in a little while before everywhere starts getting busy, I will have a look on the market as well, because I am looking for a nice summer skirt and there do not seem to be many about in the big stores, not that we have a lot of stores around here, we usually have to go to Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead or Luton which is a dive of a town that I hate with a passion.
Right DS has just got my scooter out for me so I am off
