Lloyds cheque book trouble

I have had a trouble in receiving a check book from Lloyds TSB since last year. After realising my new cheque book had stopped being delivered, I went into to a branch to order it. They processed it and said that it should have been with me in 10 days, but it never came. So I went back to the brunch to tell that, but they said that they had sent it. Basically this process: ordering a cheques book by many ways-waiting 10 days-not turning up-reporting to Lloyds on this-they claimed they had sent it- the whole process has been repeated 5 times since last year. I still haven't received it. The last person in the customer service I spoke said that that was NOT their fault as 'the computer said' they had sent it every time I requested. They even said that 'I' should contact to Royal Mail as they must have hold my past 5 chequebooks. Apparently if you want to receive a cheque book at a branch instead, which I asked due to this problem, you have to change your whole billing address to the branch-which means that all of your bank related stuff are sent to the branch in order to just get hold of a cheque book. How ridiculous!?
Anybody has had the similar problem as me?

No, that's unusual and I would have thought they would take it a bit more seriously because if the cheque book was to fall into the wrong hands it could result in the bank suffering fraud - Assuming you've covered yourself by telling them as you say you have done.0

It is very common for cheque books to be intercepted in the post. We work closely with the PO where we know books going missing.
Should be a simple matter for them to just ask for a book to branch. Perhaps use telephone banking as you should get through to the area dealing with your problem.
