But how to then playback??
I've opened Windows media player and started teh file, but there's no sound, although volume is on full..Has anyone got a solution??

thanks

click on the speaker icon, bottom right. there are sliders, mute boxes, and a mixer so that the pc can tell what to record, line in, microphone etc.

I'm just recording myself singing ! (mad as i am). no.. i can't see any indicators to tell me what's happening. I jsut open sound recorder, then click 'start recording'. Once i do this, a clock starts to time the recording.
