Why do you want this deleted.

It has good advice that will help people in the future.

Moved to the Ins forum would be a good idea.

Because, like many posters suggested it is unwise to have all this sensitive information on here accessible by everyone, including my insurer if they decided to investigate further..

Remove any information like the insurer would be a start, the date of the incident too.

They will either already know all of the above information from the previous investigation or will have seen the thread as soon as it was posted if they're sensible enough to have google alerts for their company name.

If they asked for bank statements they will already know who paid for the car, they've seen the log book with OP's name on it. Will probably have contacted the seller to confirm who "purchased the car". Will probably have looked at the online quotes the OP inevitably ran through in his own name to find out the cheapest way to insure the car eg in his name and dad's name.

It would be sensible to edit the OP's post's that might or might indicate whether he's the main user.

The thing is I can edit the original post, but it appears in quotes throughout the entire thread..
  • Even you edited your original post or the entire thread was deleted, it's still extremely easy for someone to read it.

There are cached copies of all of the sites that appear on google, and these caches are added to on a regular basis and it's next to impossible to totally get rid of something that has been made public.

This is the sort of thing:
    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:CP9q8zqnWlMJ:forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php%3Ft%3D4719555%26page%3D1+%22Insurance+policy+cancelled+following+claim.+In+desperate+need+of+legal+advice+%22&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk
and it shows how the first page of this thread looked on the 23rd July.
