Getting irritated!

I am in the process of rebuilding my credit rating after a few bad years. I got a stupid CCJ in 2009 and satisfied it in 2012 and by 2015 anything bad will be off my credit report. I am signed up to Equifax and looked at my report the other day and there is a CCJ showing - brand new but in my father's address (we have the same first/surnames but I haven't lived at his address in over 8 years.) I wrote to them asking for them to file a notice of disassociation (the link n the FAQ's leads to a page no longer there!) as we have absolutely no financial link but they told me I would need to contact the court to sort it out.
I contacted the court who told me I would need to get a notice of disassociation as there is nothing they can do about it and so the endless cycle begins. It is totally unfair that I could be burdened with a debt that is nothing at all to do with me and I'm just looking for some advice to get this wiped from my credit file if anyone could help.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Why are you still registered at an address that's over 8 years out of date?0

So you're saying it's your father's CCJ? If so, you don't need to file a notice of disassociation, Equifax just has to remove it because they've put it on the wrong report.
A notice of disassociation is for disassociating yourself from people who you used to have joint accounts with. What will your verse be?

Yep. Tell Equifax to remove it as they have someone else's stuff on your report. Is it on Experian and Noddle also?:beer:0

If it's not your CCJ then Equifax must remove it. They will usually come out with a load of bull saying they can't, but if they are incorrectly showing information on someone else on your report, once they have knowledge of this they MUST remove it. No excuses.

I contacted Call Credit and they confirmed that this wasn't on my file with them.
I have contacted Experian and they said that there is no record of this from my report on 01/09/11 (I used to be a customer of theres) so I don't know what they are talking about so I have sent for a £2 report to make sure.0 -

Thank you I will be phoning them now to get this sorted!0 -
As I read this I just checked my "support account" where i have been fobbed off numerous times by Equifax and they have taken it off my report. Thank goodness for that.
Thank you all so much for your advice and assistance.
