as already explained, find out your external address from ipchicken or from the router, open up the inbound port, and access it using the external ip and port

    eg

    http://xx.yy.zz.cc:yourportno

anything starting with 192 is internal.

on the sky routers I've seen, the external ip never changes, which so far matches your test, so you don't need a ddns service.

your phone or whatever may need to be connected using it's mobile data service rather than via the router for it to work.

cheers closed, I tried that but it gives me an error, it says "Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect toxx.yy.zz.cc:myport number" any ideas what i am doing wrong?

My port number is correct but I suspect I must change something on my router, what do you think?

If it is any help I can access my router with this ip leaving the port number off, so I think I'm close.

add a service with that port number, click apply

create an inbound firewall rule, using the chosen service name, allow always, use the local ip address 192.whatever as the lan server ip address, which your camera picks up from the router, log always, click apply, tick the enable rule box

when you try to attach, it should show up in the router logs

if by attach to your router is working, you mean you can remotely configure the router across the net - if you've allowed remote adminstration of the router, it's a bit of a security risk

the ip address you are using is the one from ipchicken?

if it's still not working, post a screenshot of your router services, and firewall rules screen, and attached devices screen
