Does anyone have any information about selling your home to a homebuyer specialist, I understand that you can make a heavy loss but are there other drawbacks.
Despite the housing shortage i have been trying to sell my home since last september. I have changed the estate agent and am now considering an auction or going to a homebuyer specialist as the matter is now very urgent.
Any advice or information gratefully received

You will get a terrible price, which once you've agreed to and gone far enough down the process that you can smell the money, they'll offer you even lower. As with payday loans they're rarely the answer. Why not just lower the price yourself instead of getting a third party to do so? Any property will sell if it's priced right.0

i have already reduced the price 4 times it is now way below market value, but i note your reply and thank you, it is clearly one to look out for and maybe i wont go down that route, any opinions on house auctions?
It really is urgent now that i sell0 -
It's clearly not below market price as it hasn't sold.0

i see what you're saying, i am quoting the estate agent.
It would appear (from what they say) that there is just not the customers looking for houses at this time. But 10 months is a very long time. Over that period 3 lots of people have been over the threshold
what about the house auction option ? does that widen the market or not.0 -
Get a good estate agent, get the property on Rightmove with lots of attractive photos and a floorplan, give it a clean, a de-clutter and a lick of paint.
Then price it at around what others similar nearby have sold for and it will go.
It's difficult, but be realistic on your pricing.0 -
Any right move link for us to help ?Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

You will achieve a low price at auction on a property that has been on the market a while and not sold... You''ll effectively give it away free if you sell to the house-buying scum who prey on the desperate! They are a vile lot and the price they'll offer at the very end will be insufferably low.
Stick with it through estate agents. Be brave. Horrible, but it's the best for almost all house sellers. Auction does suit some properties (I have bought a success that way once), but it is best for highly desirable properties, unique ones, very large ones, or dross that virtually needs demolishing.0
