Hey,
I had a fine from GPS on Sunday morning at the Lido near where I live. I only had a £10 with me so I went and paid my entry fee then using the change I came back out got my ticket and by the time I got to my car I had been fined. I had been around 2minutes tops. My car park ticket says 10:35 and the fine says 10:39 which must be due to a clock error on one of the machines. It says £60 in 14 days or £100 after. I put £4 in the machine for 4hours so I feel I paid a fair amount. When I challenged the ticket officer he said I should have left a friend at the car but she had gone in ahead of me and reserved us a space as it was busy.
Am I right to refuse to pay this? I have emailed their appeal address as it says appeals can only be done by email and not by telephone (Which has annoyed me)
Thank you for any advice
Elaine

You are entitled to a period of grace and if your times are accurate, then the PPC is out of order.
Wait till you get the Notice to Keeper through and do not appeal till then. When you get it, come back here before making your appeal.
In the meantime, time to become an expert on Parking Law. Read this
http://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/AOS_CoP_June_2013_update.pdf
Now the PPCs need to follow the guidelines here. Particularly re signs and the timetable in the POFA 2012.0
